B12/Folate Problem set

Question 2: A reaction that uses both folate and B12

N5-methyl tetrahydrofolate (THF) and methyl-B12 are both cofactors in the reaction that produces:
A. methionine
One odd thing about this reaction, other than its unique involvement of both folate and B12, is that homocysteine can be thought of as both the precursor as well as the breakdown product of methionine! The difference between homocysteine and methionine is simply a methyl group, which is attached to the sulfur atom of the methionine side chain. There is more about this methyl group...
B. cysteine
C. thymidylate
D. inosine monophosphate
E. methylmalonyl CoA
