GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM

• The mouth and tongue were normal.
• The oesophagus was normal and no varices were identified.
• Approximately 6 litres of fluid was present within the peritoneal cavity.
• the stomach and small intestine contained a small amount of altered blood and there were multiple small superficial ulcers in the antrum.
• Several loops of terminal ileum were adherent to each other and to the anterior abdominal wall.
