Both the left kidney (120g) and the right kidney (130g) had an irregular surface showing focal scarring. On cut surface there was an adequate depth of cortex with the cortico-medullary junction well defined. Both pelves and ureters were normal. The bladder was not significantly enlarged but the wall showed trabeculation. The prostate was severely enlarged with a nodular architecture- (see picture).
