• The adrenals were very small, but appeared otherwise normal.
• The thyroid appeared normal, with no evidence of tumour or enlargement.
• In this particular patient, you manage to view the pituitary in situ, (click on the image for anatomical landmarks) and also extract the pituitary intact. This is sent off to the lab for sectioning and examination- to view a slide, click here.
