Introduction to Student Projects

In the Winter Quarters of 1995 and 1996, the EDP sponsored two "special topics" courses: Biological Resources on the Internet and Geological Resources on the Internet.

As a capstone project, students were asked to choose a topic in biology or geology and develop their own web pages. We have placed their projects on-line. Keep in mind that most of these students had never used the Internet before, had never heard of "html," and were given three weeks to develop their web pages. Nevertheless, many of these projects are excellent.
