NEXTSTEP CoursewareThe hyperlinks that follow represent a collection of HTML documents which describe NEXTSTEP courseware applications developed at California State University, Los Angeles as part of the Electronic Desktop Project. These courseware applications are available for use free of charge. Please note that these programs will run only under the NEXTSTEP or OPENSTEP for Mach operating systems for Next computers, Intel 486/Pentium computers, Hewlett Packard PA RISC workstations, and Sun Sparc workstations. Versions for Windows 3.1, Windows 95/NT, and Macintosh computers are not available. However, this may change now that Apple Computers has purchased NeXT, Inc. and is using the NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP technology as part of its new Rhapsody operating system for the Power PC and Intel family of microprocessors. See Apple's OPENSTEP web page for more information. If you have access to NEXTSTEP or OPENSTEP and would like to obtain one or more of these courseware applications, send email to Bob Desharnais (biological sciences) or Gary Novak (physical sciences).
