Bone marrow smear from a patient with a
diagnosis of acute megakaryocytic leukemia
(M-7). The blasts in this smear vary
substantially in size from very large cells with a
moderate rim of cytoplasm to smaller cells with
rather sparse cytoplasm. On ultrastructural
examination the cells were found to be
megakaryocytic in origin.
